Domain Registration Services Addendum

Last updated: May 26, 2026

This Domain Registration Services Addendum supplements the SiteEngine Domain Registration and Domain Management Agreement. It applies when SiteEngine Web Services LLC, a Florida limited liability company, doing business as SiteEngine, North Georgia Web, and North Florida Web (“SiteEngine,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), registers, renews, transfers, manages, or assists with domain names on your behalf.

This addendum also supplements the SiteEngine Terms of Service, User Agreement, Acceptable Use Policy, Domain Name Dispute Policy, Privacy Notice, and any applicable quote, invoice, proposal, statement of work, or signed agreement.

If there is a conflict between this addendum and a signed written agreement between you and SiteEngine, the signed written agreement controls for that specific domain service.

1. Relationship to Other Domain Terms

This addendum is intended to provide additional terms for domain registration services. It does not replace the Domain Registration and Domain Management Agreement unless a signed written agreement expressly says otherwise.

Domain services are also subject to applicable registrar terms, registry terms, ICANN policies where applicable, TLD-specific requirements, reseller platform rules, privacy or proxy service terms, DNS provider terms, and applicable law.

If registrar, registry, ICANN, or TLD-specific requirements conflict with SiteEngine instructions or customer instructions, those third-party requirements may control.

2. Third-Party Registrar and Registry Terms

Domain registration services may be provided through third-party registrars, reseller platforms, registry operators, privacy or proxy providers, DNS providers, and related vendors.

You agree to comply with all applicable third-party terms, including registrar terms, registry terms, TLD policies, ICANN policies, acceptable use rules, abuse rules, data accuracy requirements, transfer policies, dispute policies, and expiration policies.

SiteEngine may rely on registrar, registry, reseller, or TLD-specific procedures when processing registrations, renewals, transfers, contact updates, privacy settings, DNS changes, domain locks, or recovery requests.

3. Authorization to Act

You authorize SiteEngine to submit domain registration data, renewal requests, transfer requests, DNS changes, nameserver changes, contact updates, privacy requests, lock changes, authorization-code requests, and related instructions to applicable providers as needed to provide domain services.

You also authorize SiteEngine to communicate with registrars, registries, reseller platforms, privacy providers, DNS providers, and related vendors regarding your domain services.

SiteEngine may refuse or delay action if authority is unclear, disputed, suspicious, unlawful, incomplete, technically unsafe, or likely to harm SiteEngine, the domain owner, another customer, a registrar, a registry, or a third party.

4. Customer Authority

You represent that you have the legal right and authority to register, renew, transfer, manage, modify, use, and provide instructions for any domain submitted to SiteEngine.

If you act on behalf of a business, organization, client, employer, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity and manage the domain on its behalf.

You are responsible for claims, disputes, losses, costs, or damages arising from inaccurate authority claims, unauthorized domain instructions, ownership disputes, or failure to maintain accurate account authority.

5. Domain Registration Information

You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current domain registration information, including registrant, administrative, technical, and billing contact information where required.

You must promptly update inaccurate or outdated information.

Providing false, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information may result in verification failure, suspension, cancellation, transfer denial, loss of domain privacy, registrar action, registry action, or domain loss.

SiteEngine may process, transmit, disclose, or update registration information as needed to provide domain services, comply with registrar or registry requirements, comply with ICANN policies where applicable, respond to legal process, investigate abuse, or protect domain services.

6. Domain Availability and Registration

Domain availability searches, quotes, invoices, support messages, or order confirmations do not guarantee that a domain is available or successfully registered.

A domain is not registered until the applicable registry confirms registration.

SiteEngine is not responsible if a domain becomes unavailable, is premium priced, is restricted, is reserved, is blocked, is claimed by another party, is subject to dispute, is rejected by a registrar or registry, or otherwise cannot be registered.

You are responsible for reviewing spelling, TLD, registrant information, and order details before approving or paying for domain registration.

7. Domain Fees

Domain registration, renewal, transfer, redemption, restore, premium, registry, registrar, privacy, and related fees are generally non-refundable.

Domain fees may change based on registrar pricing, registry pricing, TLD pricing, premium domain status, vendor pricing, taxes, currency changes, or other factors.

Current domain pricing and renewal fees may be shown in the SiteEngine client portal, quote, invoice, or applicable fee schedule where available.

Redemption, restore, post-expiration recovery, premium, or special handling fees may be significantly higher than standard registration or renewal fees.

8. Renewal Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that domain names are renewed before expiration.

Unless a signed written agreement expressly states otherwise, SiteEngine is not responsible for renewing a domain unless payment is received, processed, and accepted before the applicable renewal deadline.

You are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method, paying renewal invoices on time, keeping account contact information current, and monitoring domain renewal status.

SiteEngine may send renewal reminders, but failure to receive a reminder does not relieve you of responsibility for renewal.

9. Expiration and Recovery

If a domain is not renewed by the applicable deadline, it may expire, stop resolving, display registrar parking, enter a grace period, be auctioned, enter redemption, be deleted, or become available to others, depending on the TLD, registrar, registry, and timing.

Recovery after expiration is not guaranteed.

If recovery is available, additional fees may apply, including post-expiration renewal fees, redemption fees, restore fees, registry fees, registrar fees, and SiteEngine service fees.

You are responsible for all consequences of expiration, including downtime, email interruption, loss of traffic, loss of search rankings, lost revenue, lost leads, advertising disruption, customer claims, and domain loss.

10. Fee Disclosure for Expired Domains

Where applicable, SiteEngine will provide or link to information regarding domain registration fees, renewal fees, post-expiration renewal fees, redemption fees, restore fees, and any SiteEngine service fees associated with domain recovery.

Some fees are controlled by registrars, registries, reseller platforms, or TLD-specific providers and may change without notice.

If a registrar or registry publishes the controlling fee schedule, SiteEngine may satisfy fee disclosure by linking to or referencing that fee schedule and disclosing any additional SiteEngine service fees where applicable.

11. Domain Transfers

Domain transfers may require an authorization code, unlocked status, valid registrant email access, identity verification, payment, waiting periods, and compliance with registrar, registry, ICANN, and TLD-specific rules.

Transfers may be delayed, rejected, or denied because of transfer locks, recent registration, recent transfer, inaccurate contact information, unpaid fees, expired domains, pending deletion, ownership disputes, court orders, UDRP or URS proceedings, registrar restrictions, registry restrictions, suspected fraud, account security review, or other provider policy.

SiteEngine does not guarantee successful transfer into or out of SiteEngine-managed services.

You are responsible for initiating transfers early enough to account for transfer delays, verification requirements, and expiration risk.

12. Authorization Codes

Authorization codes may be required to transfer certain domains.

SiteEngine may request or provide an authorization code only after appropriate account, identity, payment, and authority verification.

SiteEngine may refuse or delay release of an authorization code where permitted by applicable policy if the account is unpaid, authority is disputed, the domain is locked, the domain is subject to legal process, fraud is suspected, required verification is incomplete, or a registrar or registry restriction applies.

13. Contact Updates and Change of Registrant

Changes to registrant contact information may trigger verification requirements, transfer locks, registrar notifications, ICANN-related procedures where applicable, or other restrictions.

SiteEngine may require written confirmation, identity verification, account verification, or additional documentation before processing contact updates or registrant changes.

SiteEngine is not responsible for transfer delays, verification failures, lock periods, suspension, or other consequences resulting from contact changes, inaccurate contact information, or failure to complete verification.

14. Domain Privacy and Proxy Services

Domain privacy or proxy services may be available for some domains but not others.

Domain privacy may be disabled, unavailable, limited, bypassed, or disclosed where required by registrar policy, registry policy, ICANN policy, law, legal process, dispute process, abuse investigation, intellectual-property complaint, security review, or third-party provider rules.

SiteEngine does not guarantee anonymous ownership, anonymous use, or permanent privacy protection for any domain.

15. DNS and Nameserver Management

Domain registration services may include DNS or nameserver assistance if included in your plan or approved as billable work.

DNS and nameserver changes can affect websites, email, verification records, SSL, security tools, analytics, advertising, payment processors, CRMs, SaaS tools, and other third-party services.

You are responsible for identifying business-critical DNS records and approving DNS or nameserver changes before they are made.

SiteEngine is not responsible for downtime, email disruption, failed verification, lost traffic, failed checkout, advertising disruption, or third-party service interruption caused by incorrect, incomplete, unauthorized, conflicting, externally managed, or delayed DNS changes unless caused solely by SiteEngine’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

16. Premium, Restricted, and Special Domains

Some domains may be premium priced, restricted, reserved, regulated, subject to special eligibility requirements, or subject to additional documentation.

You are responsible for satisfying eligibility requirements, providing documentation, and paying additional fees for premium, restricted, regulated, or special domains.

SiteEngine does not guarantee that any premium, restricted, or special domain will be available, approved, renewable, transferable, or recoverable.

17. Abuse and Suspension

Domains may be suspended, placed on hold, locked, redirected, disabled, transferred, deleted, or otherwise restricted because of abuse complaints, phishing, malware, spam, intellectual-property claims, inaccurate contact information, failed verification, court orders, registrar policy, registry policy, ICANN policy, payment issues, or legal requirements.

SiteEngine may cooperate with registrars, registries, ICANN, law enforcement, courts, regulators, payment processors, security researchers, abuse desks, upstream providers, and affected third parties when investigating domain-related abuse or disputes.

SiteEngine may suspend or restrict domain-related services if we believe continued service creates legal, security, abuse, reputational, payment, or operational risk.

18. Domain Disputes

SiteEngine does not decide ownership, trademark, business, partnership, employment, contractor, family, agency, customer, or third-party disputes over domain names.

If a dispute exists or authority is unclear, SiteEngine may freeze, restrict, suspend, or refuse changes to the affected domain, DNS zone, account, authorization code, registrant data, nameservers, transfer lock, or related services until the dispute is resolved through appropriate documentation, registrar procedure, registry procedure, ICANN policy, UDRP, URS, court order, settlement agreement, or written instruction from the verified account owner as determined by SiteEngine.

Domain disputes are also governed by the SiteEngine Domain Name Dispute Policy.

19. Customer Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SiteEngine, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, vendors, registrars, registry providers, and representatives from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to:

  • Your domain registrations, renewals, transfers, or use.
  • Your domain instructions or requested domain changes.
  • Inaccurate or outdated registration data.
  • Unauthorized domain instructions.
  • Domain ownership disputes.
  • Trademark or intellectual-property claims.
  • Abuse complaints involving your domain.
  • Failure to renew, transfer, verify, or recover a domain.
  • Violation of registrar, registry, ICANN, TLD, or SiteEngine terms.

20. No Guarantee

SiteEngine does not guarantee domain registration, renewal, transfer, recovery, restoration, uninterrupted DNS, uninterrupted domain resolution, uninterrupted email routing, availability of a specific domain name, or retention of any domain name.

Domain services depend on registrars, registries, ICANN policies, TLD policies, payment processing, account authority, accurate contact information, and third-party systems outside SiteEngine’s control.

21. Changes to This Addendum

SiteEngine may update this Domain Registration Services Addendum from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.

Your continued use of SiteEngine domain services after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
