13. Verification of Requests
SiteEngine may need to verify your identity before responding to a request to know, access, delete, or correct personal information.
Verification may require information such as your name, email address, phone number, account information, service relationship, invoice information, domain information, or other information reasonably necessary to confirm your identity and authority.
If we cannot verify your identity or authority, we may deny the request or request additional information.
14. Authorized Agents

SiteEngine may deny requests from agents who do not provide sufficient proof of authorization.
15. Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing
If SiteEngine engages in activity considered a sale or sharing of personal information under California law, you may opt out through available privacy controls, consent-management tools, cookie preference tools, opt-out preference signals, or by contacting privacy@siteengine.io.
Where a cookie or consent banner is available, you may use it to reject or limit non-essential advertising or analytics technologies.
You may also use a browser or extension that sends a legally recognized opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, where required and technically feasible.
16. Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Preference Signals
Where required by applicable law and technically feasible, SiteEngine will honor legally recognized opt-out preference signals for applicable processing.
Because technical standards and legal requirements vary, SiteEngine may process different browser signals differently depending on the applicable site, configuration, jurisdiction, and available tools.
If you use different browsers or devices, you may need to set your preferences separately on each browser or device.
17. Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information
SiteEngine uses sensitive personal information only for purposes reasonably necessary to provide services, secure accounts, process transactions, prevent fraud, comply with law, respond to requests, maintain service quality, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.
If SiteEngine uses or discloses sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger a right to limit, SiteEngine will provide a method to exercise that right where required by law.
18. Non-Discrimination
SiteEngine will not discriminate against you for exercising rights under the CCPA.
For example, SiteEngine will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, provide a different level or quality of service, or suggest that you may receive different treatment because you exercised a CCPA right, except as permitted by law.
19. Financial Incentives
SiteEngine does not currently offer a financial incentive or price or service difference in exchange for the collection, retention, sale, or sharing of personal information.
If SiteEngine offers a financial incentive in the future, we will provide a notice of financial incentive where required by law.
20. Customer Website Data
If SiteEngine processes personal information on behalf of a customer through a customer website, form, hosting account, CRM integration, analytics tool, advertising tool, or similar service, SiteEngine may act as a service provider, contractor, processor, or subprocessor.
In that context, the customer is generally responsible for receiving, evaluating, and responding to California privacy requests relating to the customer’s website or business.
If SiteEngine receives a request involving customer-controlled personal information, SiteEngine may refer the request to the customer or process it according to the customer’s documented instructions.
21. Service Provider and Contractor Processing
Where SiteEngine processes personal information as a service provider or contractor under the CCPA, SiteEngine processes that personal information for the business purposes described in the applicable agreement and this notice.
SiteEngine will not sell or share customer personal information processed as a service provider or contractor, retain, use, or disclose it outside the direct business relationship with the customer, or combine it with personal information from other sources except as permitted by applicable law.
SiteEngine may use customer personal information to provide services, detect security incidents, protect against fraudulent or illegal activity, maintain or improve service quality, comply with law, and perform other permitted service-provider or contractor purposes.
22. Consent Management and California Rights
SiteEngine may use consent-management tools to record and honor cookie, analytics, advertising, personalization, and privacy preferences.
Consent records may include consent state, receipt ID, policy version, banner version, Google Consent Mode state, timestamp, page URL, referrer URL, hashed IP address, hashed user agent, and related metadata.
Where configured, consent tools may support California opt-out requests by limiting advertising, analytics, sale, sharing, or personalization activity to the extent supported by the applicable tools and required by law.
